Cañero was chosen from the Iconic and champion producing Yeguada Cubas in Spain. Ever since his arrival at Canta Rana Ranch he has excelled as one of the Foundation sires and continues to shine as a breeding stallion at Canta Rana Ranch. Cañero is sired by one of the winningest stallions in Spain, Torero XI who definitely stamped Cañero with excellent traits along with working ability and exceptional movement very heavy Escalara blood on the top of the pedigree. His dam Canera is respected as one of best producing mares Yeguada Marin Garcia had in their breeding program they are known for Excellent functionality. It is no surprise that Cañero is a sire who consistently sires foals with athletic ability and very importantly ease of training, his foals are naturally easy to handle and versatile in so many aspect of the equestrian world. We start with Vesubio, a Carthusian stallion who Is a shining example of why this breed is called the Horse of Kings. Vesubio was one of the kindest, most magnificent stallions to interact with, he had exceptional character, a playful demeanor and carried himself effortlessly as he interacted with his rider. Vesubio was foaled in the rolling his of Spain and imported to the hills of Santa Ysabel. He is out of a Cardenas mare on the bottom side and Bocado on the top side. Vesubio brought the strong influence of the Carthusian horse to Canta Rana ranch. Although Vesubio has passed on, his legacy is in his daughters that are a heavy influence in the ranches breeding mares. Vesubio was an excellent producer and his daughters that were kept as breeding stock consistently produce foals that are versatile and have excellent characters. Vesubio was known by those who loved him as Grandpa, as he was an old soul that left an impact on those who spent time with him.
